Lionheart is half-man half-lion, which formally makes him a "sphinx." The original was done in clay with two interesting exceptions. The ground was actually created by sticking gravel into clay. I really like the effect it created. And the spear tip was made from a CAD drawing by stereo lithography, a bit of high-tech anachronism.
